Subaru Canada Inc. has achieved a significant milestone with the planting of 5,000 trees as part of its ongoing conservation efforts through the Adventure On Parks program, marking the halfway point to their target of 10,000 trees. This initiative, in collaboration with Leave No Trace Canada, aims to encourage responsible exploration of Canada's natural landscapes while promoting environmental sustainability.
The Adventure On Parks program, now in its fourth year, includes various components such as the Leave No Trace Pledge, the Subaru Adventure On Hidden Gems Contest, and partnerships with provincial parks that support Ambassador Programs. When participants take the Leave No Trace Pledge, a tree is planted in Canada, encouraging Subaru owners and Canadians to adventure responsibly. Over 4,600 pledges have been taken so far, contributing to Subaru's green goals.
Recently, Subaru Canada made a commitment to plant an additional 400 trees during a media event for the Adventure On Parks program and the 2024 Subaru Solterra. This contribution helped Subaru reach the 5,000-tree milestone, showcasing their dedication to environmental conservation.
The 2024 Subaru Solterra played a key role in promoting this initiative. As Subaru’s all-electric SUV, the Solterra combines Subaru’s renowned safety, performance, and reliability with eco-friendly technology. For 2024, the Solterra received significant upgrades, including a redesigned steering wheel, DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, faster charging times, and the prestigious IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating.
With Otto’s Ottawa having planted over 80,000 trees through its charitable arm — Otto’s Planet — the Subaru family continues to inspire drivers to explore the great outdoors responsibly and sustainably, while building a brighter future for everyone.
